AquaC Remora help

I've put that blue filter media in the outflow hole and it helped. The only thing is I found the skimming slows down when you block the hole.
They sell preskimmer boxes for this skimmer. No bubble to deal with al all but it's very bulky.

If the skimmer is new, it's normal. It will subside some as it goes through the break-in period. Unfortunately, this is one of the drawbacks of hob skimmers... no bubble traps. ;)

No, not exactly. It's not a water-tight screw so there might be a little leakage but not much if any at all. Screw it down until the top is even with the pvc. Be sure not to screw it down too far or it will fall into the chamber only to be lost forever. :)

No, water is not supposed to come out of the hole w/ the white screw. I just looked at mine and the instruction.
Like Drummereef said, it's not a regular screw so screw it down more to plug the hole BUT... don't screw it down all the way so that it falls through. It should be flush w/ the PVC.

I have a remora nano skimmer and I have no idea what screw you guys are talking about and what blue media, My skimmer is working w/ out this blue media.

When you take out the collection cup look inside the left chamber where the intake pipe is. On top of that is a hole w/ a plastic screw (my screw is white). This screw needs to plug the hole so water doesn't leak through.
The blue media I'm talking about is the blue filter pads. I cut a small strip bent it in half and placed it inside the opening where the water returns to the tank. Like I said, it made the skimming slow down but it stopped the bubbles. It also makes it a little more quiet. It's not required to run the skimmer.

Damn, That is very smart and true cause the skimmer does cause alot of bubbles in my tank, thanks!

sorry for the hijacking of the thread, my bad!

how do i control how many bubbles come out of the skimmer?

i bought the prefillter box for my Remora. it worked wonders for the micro bubbles. It is bulky but if you do not have an overflow i would recommend getting it. It is great for cycling the surface water.
