I have a 55 gallon that I will be setting up for saltwater, is it too much to get the Pro version as it is recommended for up to 120gallon tank or just get the regulaer one?
I ran the regular Remora on a 55 and it worked well. Pulled out alot of gunk and upgraded it to use the maxijet and preskimmer box, before i pulled the tank down and put the skimmer in storage. I use the Pro currently on my 125 with a Mag 5 pump and preskimmer and I can say it pulls alot of gunk out too...You just need to adjust the height of the collection container to get a dry foam and keep at least 2 of the large rubber collection cup O-rings on hand in case 1 breaks. The Regular Remora i had used had a set screw in the side to hold the collection container in place.
