Aquaclear vs Emperor 280

I was looking at both of these filter for my 36g saltwater tank. The difference I see are:

1. Emperor has bio-wheel and Aquaclear does not. (I belieive the bio-wheel is bad for reef).
2. Emperor takes water in from the bottom of the tank and the aquaclear takes water in from the top half. What is better?

Please advise.

Get the aquaclear Really doesn't mater. You can always remove the bio-wheel. ( thats what I did )

Does it matter that the aquaclear take the water from the top of the tank rather than the bottom?

The inlet can be extended to take water from your chosen depth.

Aquaclear is a much better model and easier to work with.
