Aquacontroller problem

I just bought a used Aquacontroller and I was having trouble monitoring the PH. I didnt have any calibration solutions until today. I can calibrate it to 7.0 without a problem but when I try to calibrate it to 10 the ph only goes to 8.05 and no higher. I got a new probe and it does exactly the same thing. the ph is moving from 7.83 tp 7.6 in seconds jumping all over the place. the ORP does the same thing although I havent tried a new probe with that yet. I have tried turning off and unplugging the ORP probe and I am not connected to the computer either. I am in real need of some help here this is a real big expensie piece of eqipment to have this many problems with it. Thanks in advance

If this is a Pro unit are you putting the temperature probe in with the pH probe while calibrating?

No this is an older model, But I found out what the problem was Human error LOL. I couldnt find figure 1 until I decided to print out the manual. I was assuming that the 3 calibration screws were 4 - 7 - 10 respectively not ORP slope and offset. I found the figure 1 and then realized my error. Looks like everything is all set now. The only thing that I am a little irritated about is how much extra that you have to buy for this controller the X-10 modules the Direct connect the serial cable an now the ground isolator because when I hooked that up things definately started jumping around. Heck the DC4HD that I need for my halides are almost as expensive as the base unit. I know that there isnt that much competition but heck you would think that they would give us a little break. Oh and when there is a problem like the ground fault isolator that is an inherant problem with the controller they wouldnt charge us another $40 to get it. I was thinking that I would be able to get a controller for a pretty good price and now it is costing me more than I paid for the controller to get all of the extras that really are not extra's if you actually want to control something. This is turning out to be an expensive PH and ORP monitor. If I wanted just that I would have bought one. Sorry about the rant I am just getting a little irritated.
