what kind of corals can i keep under a Aquactinics TX5 fixture? im thinking about putting an TX5 5lamp T5HO fixture on to my upcoming 75 gallon 48in tank, and im wondering what kind of corals would be fine under that im not a big fan of the softy's, so i plan on mostly LPS and zoo's, are there any SPS that may live under that lower amount of light? or should i set up a 6 or 8 lamp fixture, i want to stick only with T5HO and also should i go with the Aquactinics fixture or should i use so other brand? and if so what?

Anything can live under that light.

I have the same light on my 75. I have crocea clams, acros and a few LPS. Everything is colored nicely and grows great. I have only ever used T-5 lighting on all of my tanks. We have 5 tanks set up right now. They all are great!

out of curiosity what kind of bulbs do you have in your TX5 and how are they set up?

Thanks

Aquactinics lighting is not a "low light" fixture. IF your water quality is appropriate, you can keep SPS and clams in a tank with this type of lighting and the appropriate bulbs. ATI's have the highest PAR levels.

I have one of their fixtures on my 72g. Works very well. SPS in the top 1/3, montis in the top 1/2 and some zoas and lower light stuff below that. I run 3 Aquablues and 2 blue + (I think that's it...3 whites and 2 blues.)

oh ok thank you all for the info, please keep it coming! Henry Bowman, by "low light" i meant for SPS but i guess i was wrong. when it comes time to set this tank up i think i will buy the Aquactinics, and there price isn't bad
