I tried Aquaforest probiotic salt, NP Pro and Pro Bio S in my tank for 5-weeks and was not impressed. I have been keeping reef tanks for 20-years and have really never ventured away from the basics of maintaining a reef tank. The big three, skimmer and biweekly water changes. After some research i decide to try Aquaforest. My system WAS UNLS until I started using AF. My nitrates steadily increased and after 5-weeks of waiting for theses products to "work" (lower nitrates) my corals stated to suffer. I lost several corals and may loose more. I followed the instructions per AF and asked questions of current users. I have stopped using the NP Pro and Pro Bio S and my nitrates have begun to decrease. Sometimes I think sticking to what works for your tank is the best option. I have no regrets for trying AF other than the expense and corals suffering. Lesson Learned!
