Aquaforest Reef Salt Question

Can I leave this salt mixing in a large 30 gallon Brute trash can or is this salt not good to pre-mix and leave mixing over the course of a week plus? I used to leave my instant ocean always mixing in my Brute trash can and just top it up every time I use some but of course noticed brown film from that after a while.

I assume that the pro-biotic reef salt would definitely not do well pre mixing in a brute can over the course of a week plus due to the bacteria in it.

Aquaforest Reef Salt does not contain probiotic bacteria so theoretically it can be mixed a long time but we do not recommend.

We recommend the use of salt immediately after its dissolution (about 15 minutes )

What is the benefit to using it right away. I'm asking because I've always mixed my salt in a brute can and left it mixing via power head and heated. I just pirchased the reef salt and saw use it in 5 days.

Just trying to weight pros and cons of have to mix everytime info a water change.

Thanks!!

Matt

@Nemodan you can use probiotic reef Salt but after 24h all bateria could die and you will not benefit from this Salt. As about the reef Salt You can use it also like you use IO there will be no difference. What we are say it is not good to keep any Salt for to long because life will start in this water after few days that all. There is not something special in Reef Salt that will not allow you to use IT and other Salt you can. It is a general rule that is not recomended to keep Salt water for too long.
