aquahub auto top off

i recently bought the aquahub auto top off deluxe and i was just wondering if anybody has seen one of these units. i have marked by sump with the exact perfect water level. when i decide to mold the mold-a-holder, how far down to i mold it to maintain the water level that i want. the float switch is inside a snail and slosh guard so i am not sure what the level of the snail guard needs to be to maintain the water level that i want. anybody have any suggestions? i don't want to have to mold it more than once.

Mold the bottom where the float switch is first. Put it all together and place it in the tank. Once you find the area where the switch will turn on, mark the molding at the top of the tank edge. Heat the molding in hot water till it is clear. Take it out of the water and wait till it starts to cool. Some time between the molding cooling and harding, place the molding with everything on it back in the tank and start to fold over the molding on the tanks edge. The mark may not be in the same place since the molding may stretch after it is heated up. You can remold the plastic if needed.
I also made a piece of acrylic U shaped cover to hold the molding in place. This is how I did it.

I just bought on of these and put it together last week. I mounter the swicth to the holder, and put it in my sump, and raised and lowered it, with a continuity meter attached, when I found the spot where it will kick on, I marked the holder with a marker then heated it and bent it. you will have a few minutes time that you can play with it. So far, everything is working great.
