I bought a new Aquamaxx T2 Ca Reactor. It seems there are too much bubbles and the circulating pump is too noises. Any recommendation?

Aquamaxx Calcium Reactor Help

My Vertex is noisy if I shut it down for a while then start it up again. But it quiets down after a while.

Maybe try purging as much air/CO2 from the system first?

Second Vincent; sometimes air gets caught inside the pump and becomes little noisy.
Does the reactor have a valve to let air/gas out?

I am using a masterflex for the feeding pump. It could be that it is new and the ph is too high so it inject a lot of co2 to lower the ph?

Don't you control the CO2 rate? How much CO2 are you feeding it?

yes it is maybe less than a bubble per second. The solenoid turned off when the ph in the Ca reactor is at a set value. Right now, it is off. I might try turning it off for a couple of hours and turn it back on.

Bubble rate might be too high. Mine is set at 5psi, 1 Bubble 3-4 secs. My solenoid is on most of the time rather than cycling on and off.

I ordered a aquamaxx calcium reactor the pump was leaking, to laud, to much air in the circulation pump with CO2 off bad super bad I returned

Here's a good video which describes the idea. It's a slightly different Aquamaxx model but the concept is the same. Being able to purge this air is important as you'll get this bubble each time you add media.

A few tips:
- If you have a feed pump, open the bleed valve and close the effluent valve which should push the air out the bleed valve as seen in the video.
- Alternatively, you can manually inhale the air out from the bleed valve as long as no lines are above water level (ie. allow air to come in).

Thanks! I'll give it a try when I get home tonight.
