Aquamedic Kalkwasser Reactor

Hi,

Would anyone suggest the use of Kalwasser reactor along with a Calcium reactor in a 200 gal. reef tank?

How do you suggest that we use that reactor.

Thanks.

Kc.

What kind of corals do you have? Are you already running either Kalkwasser, or a Calcium Reactor? What is you Calcium level? What level are you looking for?

Unless you have very large amounts of encrusting corals, one or the other will probably be enough for you. If you do not have either one yet, then I would suggest going with Kalkwasser to start with because of the low setup cost. You could then assess your calcium needs and adjust your plan of attack accordingly.

As a matter of fact, I'm currently setting up the tank. I used to have FO tank, but this time I'm thinking of keeping a mixed blend of corals, clams and etc..

I had a good deal from a friend and purchased an aquamedic calcium reactor 1000 and a kalkwasser reactor.

I do also have an aquamedic pH computer.

I was also thinking about using the kw reactor as top off unit, thinking of the pH problem that maight occur because of ca reactor.

what I'm wondering is how Im gonna control both reactors. what happens if the kw reactor doses too muck kalk during night and boosts the pH? how can I use them together as an automatic unit?
