Aquanotes webserver question

What does "Web server not compatible with Windows XP Home edition" mean exactly. What functionality will be lost if I am using XP Home edition? I want to connect my ACIII to my wireless router and be able to access it via the internet from work and send me email alerts.

Windows XP Home edition does not include the IIS (webserver) component. This component is required by the AquaNotes PC in order for it to have webserver functionality. If you have an AC3, the controller itself has a built-in webserver, so it is able to serve webpages standalone (No, PC webserver involved at all). Either AquaNotes (doesn't matter which version of Windows) or your AC3 is able to send outgoing emails.
