sjm1978, do you know if that skimmer will fit in the first chamber if the AP24 is modded?

do you mean modded with a bulkhead on the left side with loc-line?

im not sure if it will i i wanted to get that skimmer also but as you see in the pic i have that mod. the skimmer requires 4" i havent measured the space yet. i was thinking of cutting off the back of the bulkhead off to the nut and then put the elbow in more and see if that gives me 4" of clearance. if i cant make the ap24 skimmer fit i was gonna try the smaller nc12 skimmer they sell.

Yeah, that was the mod I was talking about. I have mine modded and I am not sure how much space there is.
P.S.-How do you keep the Hydor from spraying water out of the top of the tank? I had one on mine and it drove me nuts, but everyone seems to have one

my tank in now topless i have a current usa orbit 2x 80w light fixture. i even broke some tabs off so the water can flow to the back faster and the water level in the main display is under the black trim. i dont have any problems with the hydor flo spraying water out. with the original hood the light shield would get wet tho. i run 2 maxi-jet 900's
