AquaPod pump modifications

I have a NC 12DX that I recently changed the pump on to a MaxiJet. It was pretty simple. I'm curious if the AquaPods are plug and play like the NCs are, or is replacing the pump with a Maxi Jet (or similiar) a pain?

Also, if the Maxi Jet doesn't fit in there- what does?
So I guess I'm hoping to hear from people that have added a better pump to their AquaPod. I'm seriously thinking about upgrading to the 24 w/ MH lights.

Where did you position them in the tank?
Are they both in the back chambers?
Did the new pump require any cutting or major modding?

Ice- actually- I appreciate the link to your thread.
I really like the way you laid out the tank's dimensions.
Kudos!

Also- did you pay for return shipping (for the cracked tank) to F&S or how did that work?
I've considered purchasing from them.

At this point, I've read that entire other thread.
I'm a bit surprised at your temperature issues- something that I'd have to be concerned about already - we don't have AC, and while it does get warm here in the summer, it's been manageable with my NC12.

I swapped out my stock pump on my 12 gal Aquapod for a Maxi-Jet 900. May add a 2nd pump or outlet. Have yet to decide.

Getting rid of those stock pumps made a big impact. (remember, I had two of them in there) I still anticipate having to deal with heat issues over the summer, even though the tank will sit right next to a huge AC unit.
