Just noticed that Aquarium Adventure just posted their new sales flyer online:

See Flyer Here

1 dollar per gallon up to 75 gallons and 2 dollars a gallon up to 210 gallons!

Wish I would have waited to buy my new 150, could have gotten a 210 for cheaper...

Not bad pricing. Too bad its limited to non-drilled tanks.

It really depends on the rock. Its been a very long while since I stopped in there. What LR they had looked like very old base rock. Not much if anything on it.

you have to be real careful there ,,,,,a few things said about flat worms , i don't know that for sure , but some have also got some good stuff there too (paid too much) ,,,, if you ask me its not even worth taking a chance ,,,,if you want rock go see Dan @ salty or Aqua Tech both have nice rock,,its worth the ride to be safe , not mess up a tank to save a few bucks ,,,,,,

what a joke. I will still check it out to see if DT's or cyclopeez is on sale. They sometimes do buy 1 get 1 on food with these sales. They just started getting the DT's within the last year or so, so not sure if they discount it during sales.

Hi,

Bubble alge is on sale also for $29/six bubbles. LOL All kidding aside the tanks sound like a pretty good deal.

I still think they are high priced and will still have to make the same prophet as before>>> Who agrees with me?????

well i know what you all think about adventure but i did go up there friday to check it out and they had more fish than i have ever seen. i took notes on the prices on the fish to see if they would bump up the prices. went this morning and to find out the the prices were the same. off the top of my head.... foxface $30, flame angle $45, lawnmower blenny $15. everything looks healthy as can be. im not ranting and raving about this place cause i feel the same way as everyone else but this is too good to pass up.

Cravin, did you get there before or after all the employees turned into D__ks? I got there around 12:30pm to pickup a 40g breeder... To start their entire tank selection was decimated... not much to pick from and what was left was flying out the door like it had wings on. I walked around trying to get someone to help me since I didn't see any 40g tanks, it was proably 30mins before one of the 5 employees finally asked me if I needed something. From this point it was all down hill.

They get a B- for copying big box store sales on the $1 per gallon sale

They get a D for stocking, being sold out of 90% of your sale inventory in 2.5hrs means you didn't stock before the sale

They get a D for employee staffing, launching a huge sale and only staffing 5 people is dumb. That gives you 2 at the registers and 3 on the floor split between fish sales and tank sales.

They get a double F- for employee attitude, the manager should have been aware of his short staff situation and preped his employees and tried to keep their spirts high or at the very least keep the short tempers and employee infighting from the customers. (I could tell you the story but it would take to long)

Over all they score a D- for my experiance today.

I went in after you. Although they didn't have any tanks in stock for the sale, they were more than happy to give me a raincheck and order in the tank that I wanted, at the sale price. If you ask me, this was much more than I was expecting. They told me that somebody ordered 3 - 40 gallon breeders. HA... anybody wanna fess up?

Although a lot of the stuff was overpriced ($172.99 will always be too much for a purple tang in my book), as noted above there were some things that were reasonably priced. I'm not currently in the market for new fish, but if I was I would have taken more time to look and see if they had something that was in good enough shape for me to take home.

Having a $1 per gallon tank sale will sure fill up a store!
I believe all that they had left when I was there was a 65 gallon AGA tank under the $1 per gallon. That's a pretty great deal on an excellent tank.

Ill fesup... I bought one 40 breeder and yes they said they would order me any tank i want at the sale price. i was in and out in 15 mins .....but i will say there normal prices makeme want to puke.....but who could pass that up 40 bucks for a aga bredder tank....no brainer i hope it doesnt come with bubble algea..lol

wow, they must have all stepped out for Starbucks and a pep rally. They were very snippy and argumentative with eachother when I was in there.

The fine print on the flyer says "Black rectangular non-drilled aquariums only. Limit one per customer." Had I known I could have got more then one I would have ordered 3 myself!

Wow I didn't know AA was looked down upon so much. The one in Columbus is nice, had a great conversation with their planted tank guy. For once I found a store employee with more knowledge than I on that topic!

Maybe I won't be visiting AA during the auto show. Might find another place instead.

I went to the AA in Columbus today. Their fish looked like crap but I was going to get a Blackcap basslet for $30 until I realized there was a line almost to the front doors to get waited on for livestock! I did trade in an old power filter I had laying around for a new Aquaclear 30 in the "Free Filter" Promotion and then grabbed a 15g for $15. I then proceed to stand in line for over 30 minutes to check out.

I stopped at Phishy on the way home and picked up four nice frags for $60. Also got to see his new 450g display for the first time and let me tell you, its worth the trip! Absolutely stunning! My wife and I spent the drive home trying to figure out how he made the Ricordea "waterfall" in a 36" deep tank.
