It's not easy... you have to take a razor and cut along both sides between the glass and the plastic trim. I have done it with one of those "snap-off" blade knives. The thing is, you have to be very carefull with the long blade extended and then you start pulling on it and it is a recipe for disaster.

Once you cut all around inside and out you can usually lift one corner up and start to peel the thing off. It is just filled with silicone and then smashed onto the top at assembly.

It might help soften the silicone a tad but it's not going to release like normal adhesive will. I wouln't put much heat to it or you may watch it go crunch.
