Aquarium Safe Silicone

Simple question, I'm making my refugium and need to put the baffles in, what type of silicone should I use to secure the glass baffles?

You can purchase a large tube of Aquarium Sealant at Pet Supermarket for about $12.. I have seen smaller ones at WalMart. The other chain stores may carry it as well. And if you have time, you can probably purchase it online.

Awesome I think there is a pet supermarket around the corner from me.

Yeah cant order it online, need to get it done this weekend, so I can start filling the tank up.

When you get this could you tell me what the ingredients are? I am wondering if it is just 100% pure Si.. I know you can't use the ones that aren't with like yucky chemicals that are mildew inhibitors and what not

Oh man dont spend that kind of money. Go to a hardwear store and buy 100 % silicone. It will work perfect and its only 3 or 4 bucks. Give it 24 hours to cure and your ready to go.

yeah go buy the silicone I from home depot or lowes for 4 dollars a tube. Just make sure it doesnt have the mildew resitant stuff in it.

last time at HD, both ge1 and 2 had the mold inhibitor in them :/ that was the large size, but was able to find (in the back of the stack), some smaller ge1 that didn't have the inhibitors. good luck

if you go tol owes back where the glue and stains are at in the paint section you will find dap aquarium silicone for 3.96 a tube. thats what i use and don't have to worry about crap in it
