Aquarium setup

So, I've narrowed down where I would like to buy my tank to two companies. I'm still trying to decide between a 75 gallon or a 90 gallon tank. I have a pretty good idea of what I would like in my tank....but I guess that's a discussion for another day. I do want to know if its paramount to have a tank stand, or can I use a table? Also, do stands come assembled or can I request that its not assembled? I live in a 3rd floor walk-up, and I really can't fathom trying to get an assembled stand all the way up stairs.

If you can get the tank upstairs shouldn't you be able to get the stand up there too?

Nope, i would think it would be more awkward than the tank, especially since I will more than likely be by myself.

I would worry about using any type of table for the tank. It's not a very light tank.

The tank is twice or more the wait of the stand. One guy can carry the stand anywhere. No way one person is carrying a 90 gallon tank.

Maybe it's just the Canadian in me but just ask someone for help. Ask a random stranger on the street never be surprised about important asking someone for help makes them feel.

As for table vs stand a table is not in anyway built like a stand.

Thanks to whoever it was that answered the question about the table or stand. I know I'm going to ask a lot of questions that are going to sound stupid. Honestly, i wish I could ask a random stranger on street, but alas, I am highly suspicious, even of the devils that I do know. I was wondering more so, because I realize the tank is already going to be interesting, but a stand is going to be very awkward... if you saw the staircase, you would understand

If it is just the standard stand that comes with many tanks, you'll probably be ok. Its taller but wouldn't be any longer than the aquarium, and definitely weighs less.

You're going to need help moving the tank. Don't be stubborn, get help. Otherwise you might be crying over a broken tank, a blown disk in your back, along with some broken toes.

+1^ Like it or not, you'll need some help! Not possible to lift a 90g tank up a flight of stairs on your own, even if it's acrylic. You must have a friend or two that can help you, I'd like to see you even teyvto lift a tank half the size on your own. Even that would be almost impossible, unless your a big dude

As far as stand or table, it's up to you. However you will have to account for weight. A full 90g is heavy. Really heavy. So a table might bot be a good support.

*sigh* I never said I wouldn't ask for help, I said I probably wouldn't ask a stranger on the street. Being by myself = delivery service. Since the height of the stand is taller than a tank, I was just wondering if I could assemble it myself, since carrying box of parts is easier (with or without help/delivery) than carrying up a fully assembled stand.
