How long can I keep my LR out of the water? I'm considering redoing my rockwork as I'm not to happy with what the tank looks like presently. I would like to also get more flow running on the bottom as I've noticed dietrus piling under the rockwork which is not easily syphoned out. Also if I use a large container with a powerhead can I place my corals in it without skimming for a few hours so I don't break them?

i would say not over an hour and keep the rock wet with a towel or wet news paper to keep the critters alive. even then you may see alittle die off but not much. the corals will be fine for a wile without being skimmed

I agree; definitely try to keep the rock either submerged completely or at least damp with newspaper. The corals will be okay without a skimmer.
