What do people think about the AI Prime?

I have one over a 15 gallon and a fluval spec 5 gallon.

They both run great. The app is great and the colors are nice with the UV.
Only problem is my anemones are bleaching but everything from sps like them.

I don't have my dresda clam under it cause I've read that they can support them but won't thrive under them..

I will have it over a 29 biocube. I am doing more of a soft coral tank. But I would like to do overstocked. Right now I have a few polyps zoas and green star. I also have some leathers and about 4 frogs pawn.

How is the shimmer with the AI Prime? I going between that and a Kessil a160w

The shimmer is good. I just think the kessil is a better light though.
If I could I'd trade up from the prime to a kessil

I have the prime over a 29 gallon as we speak waiting for my radion to come in. But the prime I'm very very pleased with. Running at 45% and 2 sps frags are happy with it . I really like the control for it . And the color is the exact color I was looking for in a light.

How is the shimmer thru all phases of light?

A lot less than the KESSEL 150 I had over the tank. It doesn't light up the entire room better said. But it gives the tank just the right amount of light to enjoy it. It doesn't over spill as much either.

You want a lot of shimmer? Try your LFS they might have one up or even demonstrate it for you

True, I haven't passed there in a few weeks. I need to go check them out. And I just want the light to shimmer thru all phases of light. No that I want a lot of shimmer, I just want it to look natural.

Well just a update, I took oscarreef's advice and went to my LFS. They had a ai light, not the prime, and I really liked the shimmer I gave and the color was awesome. So I do believe I will get the prime.

I'm glad you took the advice a out going to the LFS before investing haha I call it investing!!!! In reality we see no financial return! The color is what sold me! I could deal without the shimmer of the Kessel but as I can't stress enough the color is amazing. Post pictures once you got it running !

Will do, it will be a few months. Want to get past Christmas and all the holidays. But I surly will.
