Looks like this will be my first post here on Reef Central!
I'm currently in the "new build" process, upgrading from my current tank. For my purposes, the tank dimensions are 36w by 24t by 18d. With the sand put in it should be 20" from top of tank to top of sand bed.
I purchased the 24" 6x24w Aquatic Life T5HO fixture under the initial assumption it was a 6x39w (I know, stupid me!) so now I have a predicament.
Of course I could have gotten the 36" 6x39w fixture, but I didn't (I'm not going to expound on why :lolspin: )
Is anyone currently using this fixture? If so, do you have any PAR measurements? I'd like to keep easier SPS and possibly a clam at some point, but I just don't know if this fixture will be sufficient for that.
I've been reading that bulbs can make a difference so I'm curious if swapping out the bulbs to something like ATI's might make a good enough difference.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
