I am heading up to Salty Critter today and was wondering if stopping in at Aquatic Tech was worth it? What is there selection and prices like for corals?

I was just there yesterday. He has a pretty nice selection and honestly his prices are comparable to Salty Critter anymore. He is remodeling his store so be aware it is a MESS!!!!!!!

its good if you need some used parts.
its a good place to look at tho.
some of his livestock is more expensive than others, but there are some things cheaper. i think the corals are on the expensive side.
he has a 2in YT for $43, and a 4in YT for $43 and a 5in blone naso for $220..... a tiny 3in colt coral for $70, and a big *** 12in one for $100
his pricing is kinda outta wack when you compare items.
I was in there today after my stop at Critter. Some of the fish didn't look to good. As for corals, nothing really jumped out at me. I did see a tank that had frags for $19.99 and had a a few nice pieces in it.
Critter had some really nice zoo's for a change. We bought a huge colony that will be a showpiece. As always, his livestock is great.

Picked up a nice zoa frag myself from salty critter as well as a nice scolymia
i feel aquatic techs livestock pricing is way expensive compared to other places, i watched one of the sharks hatch out of the eggs myself and from it being an egg and only costing $56 till i asked someone about it 5 minutes later it was $110, the only thing that was different was that it was out of the egg, also the crosshatches are so incredibly priceed

Good news, the aquatics tech staff was cleaning up yesterday. I saw a guy dusting even. I did spend some money there yesterday and walked away feeling overcharged. I purchased a DI cartridge that i needed. 36.99 was the sticker price for a non-sealed cartridge. I would expect that price from a sealed spectrapure product. I needed it, so I paid the piper. I just wanted to vent on it a little bit.

I think out of Ohio Phishy Business would have to be my fav. Don't get me wrong I like Salty Critter I just hate to have to ask how much something is, as alot of stuff there does not have a price on it coral wise. Reef Systems is nice also but a coral that looks one way there will look diff. when you get it home under your lights drasticaly.
