Aragocrete- where to buy it?

I've been searching online and RC and cannot locate anywhere as to where to purchase aragocrete or any other aragonite based cement mixes. There is also Oystercrete, but from what I read it seems like this may have too much phosphates. Thanks.

I'm not too familiar with cement types, but check out this GARF page about making aragocrete: http://www.garf.org/class.html

They use Riverside white cement, which I believe is type I/II (low alkalinity).

Hope that helps. I'm sure someone (uncleof6?) will chime in with regards to the type of cement. I know he has been making it for a while, so he'll be of better help than me at this point.

Edit: I was able to dig up uncleof6's recipe, which is as follows:

"Most folks get offended, when given the original DIY rock recipe, before it was spread via forums:

1 part White Portland Cement (low alkalinity type, Riverside suggested)
5 parts aragonite sand (seaflor special grade)
1 part acrylic shavings

Naturally porus (if mixed right)
Cures rapidly (pH stabilizes)
Inert, leaches nothing (no nitrates, phosphates or other "nasties") "

Thanks for the info. The first I heard of acrylic shavings, it is amazing the
Puffed up mass you get from machining acrylic.

GARF invented the whole "DIY Rock" movement, long ago. That is their recipe.

GARF will be happy to sell you some real Aragocrete, they invented the whole concept. Eddie Postma is the Grand Master.
