i am not really sure, i assume they are like the other products randy has out just keep it next to the phyto-feast and the roti-feast in our refrigerators!~) i'll post the correct info. once i know!~) i doubt they are alive!~)

!~)

They are not alive - sorry :(

We are importing the pods in frozen blocks and packaging them as a dense slurry in 6 and 16 ounce bottles.

In the near future we are planning on developing a ââ"šÂ¬Ã…"œfrozen brickââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ product that will be primarily for aquaculture hatcheries, but could also be effective in big reef applications.

What makes this more advantageous than other products out there?
i.e. phyto feast, roti-feast and the copeopods and tiger pods your company already provides.

Btw, my corals would like to thank you for your fabulous roti-feast!:)

This is by far our largest microplankton feed. Phytofeast is 1-20 microns, Roti-Feast is 50-275 microns, Tiggers are 100 to 2500 microns, and Arcti-Pods are 3,000 to 6,000 microns.

This product will have FAR more astaxanthin than anything else we produce and probably a much better lipid (fatty acid) profile since copepods naturally elongate short-chain fatty acids (EPA) into the more valuable long-chain fatty acids (DHA), and these are grown in freezing waters where fatty acids are more critical and in higher abundance.

And price will be a huge advantage. Since this is a concentrate you are getting FAR more biomass with Arcti-Pods than Tigger-Pods, and more dry weight biomass than Roti-Feast.

So with such a large particle size I take it this product, as far as it applies to hobbiest, is primarily for feeding fish and LPS corals?

$20 for the 6 oz, $40 for the 16 oz.

Yes, so far the animals I've seen respond are fish (which go insane when they see it - I saw a blue tang just about jump out of the tank) and SPS corals. I do have a report from a tester that his soft corals were showing an interest, but no further information. Some seahorse people are also trying it but I haven't heard back yet.

Very cool:)

Are you sure SPS will/can eat these? Most of my SPS have trouble trying to take down a piece of cyclopeze. With this being about 6X larger I've got some doubts. However, I bet my LPS like my "favities", candy canes, brain corals, blastos, and the such would devour it.

That said I do hope to give it a try as soon as it becomes available in Sac. Just make sure John at YourReef picks up a couple of the small bottles. Had to wait a long time for the Roti-Feast, but now that I'm useing it, it was well worth the wait.

Looks really great. Looks like it would be a great grow-out food for clowns. I assume that YourReef will have some when it is available. Can't wait to try it.

At the Chicago IMAC show we took some over to a local reefer and fed his 6 tanks. Clowns definitely went for it and nothing ignored it. But the craziest fish was that blue tang ââ"šÂ¬Ã¢â‚¬Å“ I donââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t know how it managed not to kill itself on the rocks, it was trying to get every single pod we poured in.

I hope mandarins show interest in this!

The ones I've personally fed, 18 out of 20 ate it :D
