Sounds really interesting. Do you guys know if the mandarins that ate these were already eating frozen food? If I drop a couple of cubes of mysis in my tank every day, approximately how long do you think a 6oz bottle will last me? One more question! How does the size of these pods compare to the average size of a copepod (non-arctic )?

They're simply enourmous for a typical copepod Jake. They're 6K or so microns in max length, where as a Cyclop in CyclopEeze is around 800 microns max. Our Tigger-Pods run around 2.5K micron max, which is quite large in itself for a copepod.

The mandarins I tested where fresh, so no, they weren't eating frozen at the time. I did try several captive ones, they as well ate them. I have seen some reject them, but it's really hard to tell if it's just a hull being spit out. It does appear to be devoid of all the oils, so maybe their simply sucking them dry

There's roughly ~40 (~195ml per bottle/5 ml per tsp) teaspoons of product in a 6oz bottle, well, ~39. Depending on what brand of frozen mysiss your using, your probably getting ~1/2 a teaspoon of biomass per cube. So from that, I'd say roughly ~40 days use per 6oz bottle for you. The difference is in the fatty acid content/nutritional profile. That bottle up top is the true color of these animals, it's not some colorring in it, or photoshopped

I've been using the Arcti-Pods in my 300g for a few days now and the fish go crazy over them. Every single fish in my system is readily taking them, especially the smaller ones such as fairy wrasses, psuedochromis, etc.

Fantastic product, and if the nutritional profile is correct it should trounce a lot of the smaller carnivore feeds out there.

Everyone at Reed is very cool. Gresham has always been a fantastic supporter of the area clubs no matter where he was employed. But you have to watch yourself around him, all he talks is fish/coral with sound advice thrown in, and he will drink your last beer ;-).

Now reading my post above, I should have posted inserted a 'that' between 'Gresham' and 'sounds very cool', although if you ask him I'm sure he'd tell ya he's a cool character :lol:

Hey is that adult theater still down there? I have a really funny story from a police call I responded to at the theater years ago. Needless to say it isn't appropriate for this forum. I was on a ride along with my buddies dad.

Must have been a long time ago, there are no adult theaters or anything of that nature in the area. This would be where the farmers market is held among other family oriented events.

My brother worked at Tuxedo & Pacific.

I think the adult theater was on either Alder or Maple at Commerce. Ya, I'm going back a good 18-20 years. My dad is a retired cop and his office was in Stockton, so we had a lot of family friends in the area law enforcement community down there. I spent a lot of time in Stockton growing up, but other than passing through I have not been around town in years. I have an Uncle that still lives out off of Hammer near I5.

I figured that must have been a while back. Miracle Mile is pretty nice these days, now they're trying to re-vitalize downtown around the arena and Ports stadium. It's getting a lot better but like other big cities in CA we have our share of problems.
