Anyone know of a local place that could take a look at my chiller to see why it isn't working properly?

Make sure to check the fuse.

A guy who sold me a 1/3HP chiller got it for free because it wasn't working. He went online, did some research and learned how to change the fuse. Bought a $3 fuse, it worked and he sold it to me for $300.

It is on... Hear a hiss after it shuts off, think there is a leak in the compressor - wouldn't have a clue how to fix it, thus need a guy....

Gotta be a smart AC repair guy or someone local who tinkers with this stuff...

I would start with a saddle valve to check refrigerant. If there is none in the unit pressure with nitrogen and find the leak. Depending on where the leak is you can decide if it is worth repairing.
