I just turned my doser on for 10 min, into a cup in my sump, to see how much it would dose. After the 10 min it was a hair over 20ml. Shouldn't it be only 11ml for ten min??
They are not that accurate. I have three and they all dose at slightly different rates. Local power supplies also differ which will change the speed the pump runs at.
As RX said, as long as they are consistent, they are fine. Just let it them fill up a calibrated container. Then you know the run rate of each. You will know how long to dose each pump.
IME, any and all pumps of that type should be calibrated. I usually go for a larger sample - say 30 minutes or even an hour, then divide the volume by the number of minutes to figure out the actual rate. You should repeat the test a couple times a year as well. Considering the price point of 99% of whats available, I wouldn't really expect them to all be the same.
^ Good idea to test calibration a few times per year. The tubing can get harder over time and this may affect output volume over time. It's cheap to replace if needed.
