Are button Polyps invincible?

I had a biocube 14 gallon that was taken down almost 2 years ago. It was just setup again, and I see button Polyps coming back like zombies . I left water in the tank, not lighting or filtration going though. All i can say is WOW

The water didnt evaporate out? Was the water just room temp or outside?

room temp, the water didnt really evaporate, and was just sitting on a table for a while

That's pretty cool, it really shows how "tuff" some coral's are.

I have read they can be pretty toxic to a tank though, I got scared and took mine out.

Meh aslong as there not near any other coral the would be fine i believe

actually scored some sweet zoas on a piece of live rock at the LFS. their holding tank was pretty foul!!! but when i saw the Zoas on a small rock i stuck it in my 30g and they ended up covering the whole rock +

same thing happened to me, even dried to the rock and as soon as it get back to stable params, poof here they come so they answer to your question is yes...ha
