are Candy Striped Cardinals mouth brooders?

I have 2 candied stripped cardinals and one of them looks to have a mouth full of something. just noticed it yesterday. it looks like an african cichlid full of fry.

just wondering because it has tried to eat but can't. if it isn't eggs/fry, then I suppose it is diseased.

I believe all cardinal fish are mouthbrooders. I may be wrong, but I thought I read somewhere that they all were. Not familiar with the candied stripped cardinals though, I have bangaii cardinals. If you catch him in a yawn, you should easily be able to tell whats in his mouth. Bangaiis and PJ's are very similar to mouthbrooding african cichlids so you may have some babies on the way.
