are fighting conches safe with clams?

yes they are fine, i kept 3 in with all my clams and never had a problem.

yes they are but crown conchs are not so be careful thats a mistake i will only make once

which ones are those, the queen conches?

crown conchs are actually a predatory whelk that eats molluscs and should be avoided. here's a link to some pics off yahoo , they usualy have spikes on their shell so they are easy to spot.

queen conchs are ok but get huge and become bulldozers, they are best left in the ocean

good to know. my lfs is ordering a small fighting conch but hes not familiar with the conchs and sometimes gets the wrong order
