Are Jawfish and Dottybacks compatible?

I was looking at a fish compatibility chart and it recomended that jawfish and dottybacks not be kept together. Does anyone have experience with this combo together, good or bad?

I don't have personal experience with Dottybacks (or Jawfish for that matter), but from what I have read, Dottybacks are GENERALLY pretty aggressive and the big ones will attach and/or eat smaller fish (i.e., jawfish). However, there are some smaller less aggressive dottybacks (i.e., the orchid dottyback or sunrise dottyback) that might be compatible.

Hope that helps a little...

Gamble. An aggressive dottyback will keep your jawfish in his burrow most of the time, and an aggressive jawfish (dusky or BSJ) can eat a smaller dottyback...

I depends on the species of both the jaws and the pseudos but the simple answer is that most are incompatable. Most jaws are pretty passive and most pseudos are pretty aggressive, especially with passive fish. If you had one of the larger/bolder jaws like a dusky and one of the more mellow pseudo species like an orchid or a sankeys you could probably do it but in general it would be a disaster waiting to happen.
