Are my zoos a lost cause?

I got some zoos in from a fellow reefer and they are not coming out. When they arrived, the heat pack was dead and the water was COLD. Here is what they look like after being in the tank for 6ish hours.

Let me know. Thanks,

Don't give up on 'em just yet. ;)

I had a colony that were closed for so long that they started growing algae on them. I mean, they were closed for at least 3 weeks or more  Only 1 or 2 polyps would open sometimes (out of 30 or more).

What is strange is that they closed for no apparent reason (as there was no apparent change in any 'critical' water params or flow. And now they're opening again for no apparent reason  . I dipped them about a week ago, saw no improvement for like 5 days, and just assumed they were goners. Today they're almost all open. I can get pics if needed.

If you see bristleworms or pods all over the colony, that's a good indicator that they're dead and will likely disappear over the next few days (as they get eaten by the cleaners).

I would give them some time, maybe a few days. How did you acclimate them?

I acclimated them with the drip method.

Drummer: The water temp was no more than 55-60*
