are my zoos ok?

alright, here's what happened. i bought some zoo's from mschriskim (who was very nice and cooperative BTW). he shipped the zoo's this last Wednesday for Thursday delivery. well, they didn't show up on Thursday. I had a fishing trip planned for yesterday(thinking i would recieve the zoo's on Thurs), and told my girlfriend, brother, and neighbors what to do with them until i got back, so i thought i had it covered. well, the idiot driver for USPS "couldn't find my house". even though mail has been delivered here for over 20 years. so he delivered it to the local post office, who called my mom to tell me they were there. they didn't call my mom until 3:30 pm, and they close at 4:30! well, needless to say, i couldn't come and pick them up before they closed. they were shipped at 4:13 pm in San Diego on Wed, and i picked them up today at 9:00 am. do you think they will be ok? the box is marked 2nd day, but my tracking # says next day. do they have any chance at survival?

I would think they have a very good chance of doing fine.

Do an iodine/sw dip to clean them off and give them good flow and low light until they get used to your tank.

I've had zoas do fine after 3 days shipping. Also have had zoas sitting in the garage in a bucket of dirty tank water for a week, and those opened back up after I put them back in the tank.

i'm acclimating them right now, one looks like its starting to open already! I hope they make it, i spent a lot of money on these guys

Chris's stuff is very healthy, and he knows his zoas.

Your zoas probably have a better chance than most in doing fine.

If they didn't have a rancid smell when you opened the bag or look white and fluffy they should be fine.

they all look like they're going to open. the frags i got are: 2 polyps desert fox, 3 polyps armor of god, 4 polyps bam bam oranges, and he also sent me a free frag for a delay on shipping on his part. i don't know what they are, yet, but they have a neon green mouth area(might be cats eye, he was selling those, too). i was really worried, but they all look like they are going to come back.

hey your story is identical to mine, i'm acclimating them right now. mschriskim was very nice and cooperative he shipped the zoo's this lastfo Thursday for friday delivery. well, they didn't show up on friday 'couse idiots in usps sent them to the wrong zip code so i got them now and they are super healthy and open already.

the packing was spectacular. what kinds did you get grisha? mine are all opened up now (at least one polyp per frag, and the rest look pretty close). the colors are really cool, especially with just the actinics on. they might be getting too much water movement, that tunze really kicks out the gph. i'll get pics as soon as i can.

man im keep drooling on the xmen( huge size polyps, they are the size of the dime. seriosly i did not even thought they are that big)
they made rpe , zombi eyes ,watermellows look like common buttom polys

i've been eyeing the xmen, too. i did pretty good, though, he had to delay shipping my zoo's for a week due to personal issues. so he sent me a free frag to compensate. for the free frag, he sent me the cat's eyes, which i was about 2 seconds away from bidding on anyway. well, let me know when you're gonna frag, and i'll tell ya when i'm ready. i'm trying to stay really picky about the zoo's i get, but the xmen are definitely on my list.
