Are nanos more stable than larger systems?

Has anyone else noticed this?

I started with a few nanos, 10-20 gallons. I treated them like junk, almost never changed the water and had no skimmer. Of course there were minor algae problems but the livestock flourished, everything from fish to SPS.

Now I've got a bigger system with a sump and rigorous RO/DI water changes, etc. etc. and everything is just alright... I don't get it!!

lol its more stable as its harder to make drastic changes to a large volume of water but i know what you mean... large tanks need time to settle in but one they do they take off with little extra work required...

My nanotanks were pretty stable but now that I have a larger tank that is ageing its getting easier and easier to keep stuff

the bottom line is the more water volume you have the better think about the same event happening in a 20 gal or a 100 gallon...say your sea hare releases toxins into the tank ...it is more dilutet in a 100 gal system
