I was looking for one for my pico tank. Every online lfs said it was but when I researched more some people said they nipped at corals. Does anyone have any experience with these blennies?
Thanks
Not sure about sailfins....my tribal blenny waged all-out war on my toadstool leathers for the first two weeks they were in the tank, until he decided they were good for sitting on. Now he lounges on his favorite all day long and leaves the others in peace. On the other hand, he's never bothered my LPS or zoas. I'd say it's hit or miss, depends a lot on the individual fish.
I have one in my mixed reef. Never seen him nip at anything. Mostly he just sits in his shell watching the world go by unless there's food about in which case he will dart out, grab a bit and dart back. Great little character!

I have had a sailfin Benny in my tank for 3 or 4 weeks and its an awesome fish with a great personality but it has been nipping at my sps. I'm going to give him a couple more days then he might have to go back to the store. It really is a cool fish I would give it a shot at least and see what happens. They can't outright destroy your corals so there's not a huge risk.
