are starfish clam safe?

oh ya, the stars don't bother my derasa or squamossa clams either. Thanks for the reminder falconut........ "whoever you are".

I had what my LFS called a "sargeant star" and he ate a flame scallop after living with it for half a year. I did not "feed" him another one. :-)
 
chocolate chip are not "sand sifting" and they are not reef safe. sand sifting stars basically live under the sand sifting around, eating all the good stuff in the sand bed.
 
the only good starfish I would consider keeping would be linkia types and serpent/brittles, and none of those eat clams.
