ive noticed every sence i put two in my tank my LR looks like a snow caped mountain, are they eating @ all my purple to. or do i have something elese going on, im out of the cal & alk tests @ this time so i cant get that reading, i was just wondering if it could be the urchins

When they run out of the green stuff to eat they will eat the coraline algae. Mine ate all of my coraline. You might want to supply some macro or they might starve or go after your coral.

my corals are in my 29g i put them in the 75g i see algae on the glass but they stay on the LR, what is macro?

Some species will also eat coral tissue, bryozoans, foramiferans, sponges, plastic, fiberglass and much more so keep em well fed. We had a few coldwater ones and once they consumed all the wracks we had for them, they started on the molded fiberglass background! There were several holes in it before we figured out how the snails were getting back there.

It cannot go on the glass becasue there are not any crevices for them to hang on to. Macro algae is like cheatometopora(spelling).

At least drop some algae wafers or shrimp pellets between their spines. Yes, they will eat coralline algae and many feel this helps spread the algae if conditions are favorable for it to grow.

They climb the glass just fine.
Maybe you need to clean the glass less. :)

Up close with one of mine on the glass.
