Are there diminishing returns on feeding lps?

I just set up a frag tank and have some micros and acans I'd really like to get growing. I currently feed the tank cyclopeeze weekly and spot feed the micros and acans with mysis in between the cyclopeeze. Would increasing the frequency help with growth or is there a point of dominishing returns?

I used to feed my micros and acans every 3 days. I'd use mini mysis. On small colonies or frags I'd feed each polyp. On some morphs it didn't help at all, other morphs did well.

This morph took off. 2 polyps turned to 20 in 4 months.

This morph didn't respond much at all. 2 polyps turned to 3 with a baby in 4 months.

This one was incredible. Maybe 2 polyps every week.

Purple haze, I think I started with 4 polyps, now its been about a year, I have about 30-40. I stopped feeding about 6 months ago, but when I was feeding this morph responded extremely well. I think I'll start feeding again. :) I just go lazy.

If you can keep your tank very stable. Salinity, trace elements, temp, lighting schedule and so forth along with feeding say once a week. I think you'll have very positive results. Stablity is the key. I know people who don't feed at all and have more success then I do with feeding. I think your feeding schedule is fine.

Thanks. Is 'mini mysis' a product or just chopped up mysis? Should I consider my cyclopeeze feeding as adequate for my lps or feed mysis twice weekly?

Great growth. Those look great.

Being a clean frag tank, I can keep it very stable. Sometimes I wonder if it's too clean.

They are labeled mini mysis and packaged frozen food. I don't see them an many fish store. Usually one that has a large frozen selection will have it. Compared to regular mysis they're about half the size. Later tonight I'll snap a picture of the package so you can see.
