Are these fish compadible

I have one of those Blue Spot Puffers in my tank, fairly peaceful as far as Puffer though. Never bothered my CuC that I've seen. He eats pellets, Mysis, flakes, krill. Just don't get bit... lol I was bitten by two of my fish yesterday, and both drew blood. :/

In a 6 foot tank you might be able to do the blue. I'd say it's right on the line though. Someone more knowledgeable will have to add their opinion. Personally, I'm not sure I'd do it although I tend to be overly cautious/anal. I've got a 6 inch convict in my 4 footer and have been debating giving him to a larger home. He doesn't act stressed but I'm still wondering if he'd be better off.

Toby's not even remotely aggressive. He's the most passive fish I have. That chill attitude doesn't hinder him in getting food though. The boy likes to eat. The flame is fairly passive with only a little aggression on rare occasions towards Toby (they are roughly the same size which is probably the reason. He never picks on the much larger convict or foxface, Sigmund). The flame picked up eating quickly.

In my experience, I have QT'd all of my fish prior to introducing them to my tank. This serves 2 purposes. 1, it allows you to train them to eat the food(s) you plan to feed and, more importantly, 2, gives you the chance to spot disease before they infect the rest of your system. A QT period should last at least 4 weeks, IMO.

this link is to a forum that says what sizes tank tangs need and it says atlantic blue tangs need a 125 or bigger

Good find, I forgot about that link. Remember those are minimum sizes for you're just past the mark (again I'm anal :) ). If worse came to worse and you were to get the fish and he were to reach full size and be stressed you could always give him up for adoption. Or he could be perfectly fine. Rock work plays a big role in swimming space as well

Also, Toby has never spit water or bitten me thankfully! I've actually pet him a few times.

I plan to get all my fish small do you think they could be QT'd in a 10 gallon because thats all I have I could possibly turn my 45 fw into a QT tank could 2-3 waterfall filters and maybe a under gravel filter support a 45 QT tank

10's pretty small. I Qt'd in a 30 and it was a good size. Your 45 would be better. Water quality in a 10 gal could be a huge PITA. For the QT all I used was a HOB filter (waterfall filter), a powerhead, and PVC for fish hiding spaces.

I was thinking this order
1 2 clarkii clowns
2 blue spotted puffer
3 chalk bass
4 alantic blue tang
5 flame angle
6 white cheek tang (not sure which one yet)
7 aussie tusk

Ok based solely on research I think you're close but the list needs a few revisions. I'll explain as I go...

1. Blue spot puffer-very passive fish, first in is my vote.
2. Clowns-they can be territorial so putting them in first might cause issues
3. Tusk-despite their fierce appearance, I've always heard that this fish is very passive, even shy at first. Giving it time to get comfortable might help it with the more aggressive eaters.
4-blue tang
5-flame angel-these can be a little grouchy so good call on putting it in later. Also, a more mature tank (stable) is better for these little angels. This one is an absolute must for QT as they are notorious for carrying flukes (treat with Prazi-Pro, a de-wormer).
6-white cheek-depending on which one you go with (I'm still recommending A. japonicus) could affect the placement. If you go with A. japonicus, keep it at 6. If you go with the A. nigricans (tough, tough fish to keep alive) switch it with the atlantic blue tang (in order of introduction) to give it a better chance to settle in.

As for the chalk bass I have no idea. I would guess before the clowns but it's a tentative guess as I really know nothing about these guys.

thanks I wanted to get the aussie tusk last though because of the price and if you have a RO that is good and preferibly cheaper I would aprecaite it if you cent me a link or a name of it but for now I will just use tap water maybe Ill save up some money for one after I get my puffer
