Are these Snails herbivores or scavengers?

These came in on a piece of rock with an anemone from a fellow reefer.

The prominent siphon (proboscis?) makes me think they are meat eaters or scavengers, maybe some type of nassarius.
They are so numerous in his tank I suspect they multiply quickly. Should I turn them loose in my tank?

I agreee most likely scavangers, but do not know.

They are Dove Snails, the same ones sold as "Strombus Grazers" by the suppliers. They are nice algae eaters. I think yours are Euplica varians.
