I've had experience with them in past tanks. They are indeed reef safe. They will NOT eat anything that is not a flatworm so if you run out of fw good for you not for them. You will need a few depending on the tank size as they are slow eaters. Also good luck finding them. I think that is the trickiest part.
I would not recommend them personally...I have tried them in the past and they are incredibly slow and eating FWs and moving about....any good amount of flow will make them "air bourne" and they will easily make their way to your PH if you have one in your nano....
like others have already said, they only eat FWs so if you have a small amount they will starve and if you have a bunch, they will not make much of a dent on them...
IME the ONLY thing that worked for me were Halichoeres wrasses...and in a 14G nano you could introduce a small (2" or smaller) Yellow Coris Wrasse and re-tank it once it does it's job and grows....
Just one nano koralia pump added and its pointed at middle of live rock display, so flow isn't to aggressive in tank. And if not yahutch gets to take it home
I've had them before as well and they were also blown all over my tank because of the power heads. I put 4 damsils in my tank and they took care of the problem. It took a while, but they eventually took care of the problem.
