Are White Flatworms Bad?

I have what I think to be white Flatworms.
I have dealt with Red Flatworms on a previous tank using Flatworm EXit but don't know if I should take action against the white type.
Are the white flatworms as much of a problem as the red Flatworm?

I thought the white ones were coral eaters not sure id try to get them out none of them are good they over populate to fast

Are they almost clear? I have had some in my tank for years that are white, but very thin, and the color of the coral under them shows thru. I had not seen them for several months, but I say a few just tonight on my ricordia.

Everything I have read says not to worry about them, they are not harmful and their populations tend to rise and fall.

I used to worry, and dip the coral everytime I saw one on my hammer or ricordias, or whatever, but they have never caused any damage

Looking for a positive ID on these critters.
At first I thought they were white flatworms but after searching around I'm not convinced.These are seen on glass and are about the size of large grain of salt.
Isopods can also be seen meandering with them.
Hoping they are a good thing.:eek2:

I can not positive ID them, although those are exactly what I was referring to, I have seen them in my tank, and on my glass for years.

I have these too and have never seen them harm corals, but I could be wrong.


...I think they are pretty cool actually. I have seen them hunt down and engulf the red flatworms.

I've had them for years and the only coral I see them on are the ricodias. They don'y seem to bother the ricordias, but I siphon them out with an air tube every now and then.

try looking up Amphiscolops , probably what you have?

Thats what thay look like amphiscolops .When I had my tank up thay would come out at night .When the lights came on thay would go an hide .Never hade trouble from them
