I have the opportunity to buy a polyp of the Armageddon 2 which was acquired directly from Steve Tyree what would be a fair price for one polyp?

Hello newnanoman, I can't comment on the name or ID of it, but I can share with you of an utmost certainty that if you are looking for something odd, rare, hard to find etc, this is not the polyp. This morph has been around for at least 10 years. I and many others here I'm sure have seen or owned it. It can be found on Ebay, on line stores or any LFS. I have personally sold a frag of 6 or 7 of them for $ 15 to $20 depending upon the size of the rock they were attached to. If that was not your concern, my apologies for going astray. To answer your question, a fair price would be $3 to $5 a polyp, dependant upon how and what it/they are attached to. Who it comes from has absolutely no bearing on its value/price. The person wants quite a bit more than $3-$5 a polyp for them Magga Pie and Stylaster that would be great.

same coral that is the nw-cfm link i won them at auction, they did change color a bit in my system. i also won the blue and red prostrata
i think they look more like the original armeggedon imo. they aren't very fast growers though, ive had them since this summer and only 4 new polyps have grown from the original 3 so now i have 7

Interesting. I made a comment in another thread that the Armageddon II looks similar to the AOGs because they did look alike from the pictures (well, at least in my eyes they did). But I guess I was wrong since they hardly look alike.
Do you have some Devil's Armor? I have both the Armageddon and Devil's Armor and those look more like the Devil's Armor to me. The Armageddons have orange rings on the skirt (as opposed to green-ish rings like the Devil's Armor and AOGs).
But I must say that although similar, my Devil's Armor still looks different that your Armageddon II.
Is this confusing enough or what? :lol:
