Arrow Crab question

My Arrow Crab never moves he just hangs out on the filter inlet and grabs any thing that comes close. Do you think he is just lazy or you think he might be sick?

That's typical behavior for many of them. If food is plentiful they stay in one spot & ambush whatever comes by.

Most crabs sit most of the time in a hiding place or one spot and do… nothing. ;) It is quite normal – although lethargic behaviour IS a sign that something can be wrong. If You grab into the tank and the crab would not flee that could be an unusual behaviour. But as long as it tries to catch other animals swimming or walking by there should be everything fine with it.

I love mine. We call him Dexter (short for Point dexter aaaah yes the lowest form of humor I know ...PUNs)

Anyway I find him going all over the place, always finding something to be happy with. The only time I have ever seen with act out is when curious on lookers come by they get a little point to the face. He does not touch them but if they keep coming they will get a foot in the eye.

He moves more like an awkward spider rather than a crab. the coolest thing is when he keeps food in storage, in the rear he has what I could call a back pocket. If he gets too much food on hand he sticks it in the pocket and saves it for later.

nice name lol
