Hi, figured it was time I posted a tank thread here on RC. It's been setup for almost a year now. I use ESV salt and have had great results. Nitrates are usually at about 10 but my SPS aren't complaining. Granted, they aren't growing as fast as everyone else's but I'm not worried about it. Not much room in my tank anyway... Had the Hippo in the earlier pics for a few weeks before my planned upgrade was canceled. Had to transfer him unfortunately. Hope you guys enjoy the pics.

My attempt at a diy led to bring more saturation to the corals.

Hand feeding my mandarin some frozen shrimp.

Looking good! Love the holes in the Cypasthrea... hmmm I might have to get some of that for my tank. Cute mandy too, but I'm a sucker for a pretty face!

You mention having a stealth heater. It's not one of those defective ones is it?? I remember there being a big ho-ha about a recall. Just want to check because it would be a crime for that to overheat your beautiful tank.

Oh wow, I've heard of the complaints but didn't know about the recall. After I'm done poring over your awesome tank thread I'm gonna take the Stealth out and stick in a Hydor Theo 50W I have as a backup and start researching better heaters. Thanks for the heads up.

No worries, I have no idea if it was just a bad batch, or if the whole lot is dodgy. Never had one myself, just seen people mention a "stealth recall" in various places. Probably better safe than sorry.

I use an Azoo 100 w Titanium Electronic Heater. I found a few other Mini threads where people were using it. I used to have it in my bio chamber, but I was worried that it wasn't good for it to be up against the LR in there, so now I have it lying down in the middle section (the skimmer one.) So far so good.

Hey! Nice set up!! I like the location, but do you ever have a problem with cooking fumes or grease getting into the tank??

Also, take out that stealth heater right away. Even if you did not purchase it at Petsmart, they will exchange it for you.

Thanks! Actually my percs have pretty high hdl/ldl last time they went to the doctors... No, but really, haven't had any cooking issues and the burner is right across from the tank.

Gonna swap the heater ASAP.
