artificial aenmone

I got my artificial anemone in the mail finally . . . I will not post a picture of it for those interested in seeing it. It looks nothing like the picture. I called the company and found out the picture they used was from the first artificial anemone the made. It was made of plastic, so it was very detailed and appeared very full. The new rubber ones are made from the same mold, but do not retain the same detail and the tentacles bunch together when cooling and placed in the package. The plastic looked great, but felt and acted fake. The rubber ones feel and act more real, but look very fake. So, they are going to send me a better artificial Bubble-tip anemone and Long Tentacle anemone, hopefully one of the two is worth putting in the aquarium. If all else fails I can fork over $50 for the artificial carpet, it looks real nice, but feels and acts very fake. Sooner or later I will post pics when I recieve something half descent.

I will posts pics when I get a descent artificial anemone in, I am too embarassed to show anyone what showed up at my door step.

Why should you be embarrased? Its not your fault, or your work, just a product you bought.

Just curious, why go with artificial corals and nems?

Yeah, post a pic! :D Hopefully the next one will be more to your satisfaction.

Sorry to hear that. Trust me everyone here loves seeing pictures of clownfish period I doubt anyone would be judgemental at all! Im hoping the next one is more to your standards and we get to see some pics of your clowns! GL

fair enough...real zoas and mushrooms dont need any more care then you give your tank already....i assume you change the water, sometimes?

there is no good looking fake coral where i live...but yours dont look too bad...

not really-some people get fish that, well.. decimate corals. Such as a puffer. So, to get a reef tank and a puffer, this would be a GREAT idea.
