Aquaknight THank you for the Info but I am several states away and the Marine resources are very limited in my area that is why I posted because most if not all my needs for the two 180 gallon tanks are through on line sources but again Thank You!
I had a feeling you weren't, but http://www.bigalsonline.com is the parent online website. The Philly and Tamarc locations are just storefronts. I would still say contact one of the stores as I'm pretty sure it would be a special order anyway, and they'd be willing to ship. One of the guys in the local club order a custom built coral setup for his tank, a 120 I believe and the setup cost something like $720. Nothing remotely cheap.

I don't think fake coral tanks look tacky at all if done well. This site is called REEFcentral so you get alot of biased opinions. Cleaning them can be tedious but alot less frustrating then a fish eating one of your favorite specimens or it just disappearing for some unknown reason. In fact I am frustrated right now because my lunar wrasse just picked up on of my zoo rocks that I have had for 2 years and flipped upside down to munch something underneath. GRRRRRRRRRRR! Hopefully they will recover but that is why fakes can be nice sometimes.

heres mine, i've tried to do it where it wasn't too tacky....it's a far cry from my reef, but having all the fish are really cool......

This site may be Reef Central but honestly - what oter site can you visit that will host pictures of tanks with fake corals?

I too have always been very intersted in faux corals and I think they would look really great if done right. I have seen a tank at my LFS with them and the tank was awesome.

By the way - I think childish responses are well..........

CHILDISH. Let's grow up and add something constructive here. By the way - with good reading comprehensions skills being utilized - one can easily see that the original poster was asking for visual aid by way of demonstrative examples in the format of pictures.
