I am a homeowner!

First home....

Funny thing is, the 2 things that are scaring me worse than anything else are getting a water system in and then moving my tanks......

After testing my water sears said $2500 worth of parts, Tropical plumbing said about $2500 installed, and I have another sample to send off. Its HARD, as in 600ppm and heavy sulfer (or is that sulpher).

My running and running and running to get this thing done is finally over...now I get to do homeowner work...grrr.

Congratulations on your home ownership and welcome to the work side of home ownership... it goes hand in hand...

Still, I believe it is well worth it.

Congrats.. thats a step I hope to take soon to:) As far as moveing the tanks dont sweat it at all, it wont be that bad. Let me know fi you need a hand, ive got bunches of buckets and rubbermaid tubs and stuff.

Thanks everyone! Yeah, I believe its worth it to just not throw money away on rent anymore. I think I am ok with buckets and space. I am planning on getting a couple of big trash cans for out there to mix water in. Remember, I only have 2 20s and a 5. Mine are EASY compared to some of you!

If you are interested I can refer you to an independent water systems contractor. I am not sure if he can beat the prices, but I am sure he can beat the service.

sure, give me a PM....I will talk to everyone I can. BTW, the sears price was with no install...parts only, dont want to know what it would cost that way...

Tanks are small, so I think I can get it done myself. The hard part is going to be getting the water made the day before out there (about 45 min), then getting the tanks, computer and my bed all moved at once and re setup. But by that time I will have most everything moved in and that will be the final push. I am working 6 days a week and around 52 hours....that is the hard part.
