Has anyone ever had the O-rings not seal properly. Skimmer is only 1.5yrs old and had it apart maybe 3 times for cleaning. The O-ring to the body leaks for some reason, like it is not clamping down tight enough. The O-ring is in perfect condition. How can I stop this leak?

Did you crack the plastic that fits between the 2 pieces, i di and thats why mine leaks. Doesn't hurt the performance on bit though

I dont know what plastic you are refering to. I really dont think so. When I press down on the skimmer at the top of the body the leaks stops. I did not think it would hurt the performance but it collects alot of salt there now.

i have an asm g2 and mine did the same thing, but one day it just stopped, i don't remmeber if i cleanedit and it stopped or what but i just happen to notice it wasn't leaking anymore

Twist the connection tighter, its a twist fit. I broke one of th clips that holds the twist fit together tight. I couldn't figure it out until I saw a broken piece of plastic in the bottom of the skimmer.

Hi,

I have a G2 and mine leaks a little between the main body and the collection cup assy. I have noticed that the whole skimmer seems to have problems with the locking tabs on both the main body & the collection top cap. Hard to get off & on most of the time. Make sure the top half is tightened completely by turning it until you feel it stop. A slight leak does not harm anything.

Ya mine is the same.. I don't know what to do. I know that it does not hinder the performance but I don't like the salt build-up. I like to be running smoothly, ya know.. I almost went with the Euro-Reef but did not see much of a difference, but I am thinking there is.... They have more of a cast/acrillic plastic compared to the stamped form/mass produced form (cheap knock-off)
If I knew, I would have, spent the X-tra money and boughgt the EURO-REEF

Can anyone side with me?????
