ASM protein skimmers

I'm going to upgrade to 125g tank with a 30g sump and will need to get a larger skimmer. I currently have a 75g with a 20g sump and I'm using a AquaC Remora Pro on sump. The Remora was the first and only skimmer I have ever had, I need some advice on in sump skimmers.

I was wondering if anyone has used ASM skimmers and how well they worked. I was looking at the G-2. Heres a link to it.

If anyone has a different skimmer around the same price let me know.

Thanks,
Steve :bum:

After getting feedback in my search to setup my tank, I went with ASM. Was the most recommended, decent price. Been setup since June with no problems.

I have a 125 gal and am using the asm-g3. The g-2 would be undersized I think.
If you do go with either of the asm skimmers though, don't be in a hurry to do all of the modifications that everybody loves to say are needed. I have been running mine the way it came out of the box and it does just what it is supposed to.

Same skimmer here. The only mod I would suggest is the Gate Valve mod. Makes it alot easier to adjust.

I have a ASM G3 on my 125. It is gate valve and recirc modded. It keeps up with my reef AOK. I would still take a look at The octopus skimmers, a RO nw 200 is a much bigger skimmer than a G3 and actually costs less money. Its what I (would have bought ) if I would have known about it at the time.
