Could someone please verify that this is a Asterina sp. starfish and that it is most likely reef safe?

It looks like one to me. Be cautious with them. They have been known to eat corals, but rarely. They are plaguing my tank right now and are irritating my corals. That's why I got a harlequin shrimp.

ya, i hunt asterinas eveytime im in front of my tank, they have devoured my zoo population and i personally think they are the devil...id remove as many of them as possible

It's an Asterina.

The white ones are reef-safe, but the brown/blue ones are predators.
